Should William Bryon Leonard be looked at as a possible Keddie murder suspect?

Amazing Cam! I have just had a bugger of a time tracking down ANYTHING about these two murders, thank you so much!! Leonard's name as a possible Keddie suspect probably entered the online community due to the 4-22-81, 0825, PCSO report by Sheriff Doug Thomas. 4-22-1981, 0825 I telephone Investigator Osborne of Nevada County due to a new article in the Sacramento Bee on 4-21-81 which said that they were investigating a 187 of an unknown man in his early 30s who was killed on 4-13-81 and is unidentified. Osborne said that the man, who is still unidentified is in his mid-20s or early 30s, 5-7, 130, brown hair and had a full beard. This does not match the description of either suspects in our case. Thomas cites a 4-21-1981 Sacramento Bee article, which lists the then unsolved murder of Auburn resident, Lawrence Joseph Dunn, and the 4-14-1981 discovery of an unknown male shot in the head. The Dunn case would later be attributed to drifter William Bryon Leonad, see articles above. As for the unknown homicide victim, he was identified as Jon Pierre Garbera. Two men were convicted of his murder in 1984.
