Can anyone clarify who this guy is for me? I'm sure I've read about him sometime and all of the characters have gotten jumbled in my mind again. I tried the PON thread but my tablet keeps freezing on it.

James Jones & Art Jawad lived together in cabin 11. They had conflicting statements regarding their activities Saturday night and both reported seeing strange vehicles in Keddie that night. Art left the cabin a couple times Saturday night, walking to the restaurant/bar to deep fry some potatoes (he & James both worked there) & later to buy two beers. At 12:45 he left the cabin for again, returning to the bar where he spoke with Jan & Doug Albin. He then headed over to Kathy Boscoe's cabin, #24, hoping to spend the night with her. As he was leaving the bar he reported seeing an old pickup truck parked in the back corner of parking lot. '55-'60 model, beat up, dark blue with a white bumper. LE were unable to identify who this truck belonged to. He had to walk through the empty lot at the back of the Sharps house to get to Kathy's. At 1:30am, he noticed the back porch light was on at 28 & Sue's car was parked in the driveway at the back of the house. When he arrived at Kathy's cabin she wasn't home, there were no lights on and her vehicle wasn't there. He said he then returned home and went to bed. At 2am he heard an old vehicle, "sounded like a truck" make the loop around the block but he didn't hear it exit down the hill. Mike Malone, who lived at the dorm, had stopped by their cabin about the same time Art left that last time. In his statement, James Jones told LE he stayed home all night. He hung out with Mike & they watched Saturday Night Live. According to the timeline, Mike only stayed for about 15 minutes. James then went to bed. He said Art had left the cabin three times that night, however, he claimed Art last left at 12:45am and didn't return home until Sunday morning. He told LE that he & Art shared the bedroom and he would have known if Art came home. Earlier that evening James saw a dirty '55-'58 black truck or van parked in an unusual location near his cabin . The driver walked up towards the bar/same direction as the Sharps cabin. He returned half an hour later and backed his car all the way up the road to leave. Sheila also tells LE about this in one of her audio interviews from '81, but she says James said the guy walked up to her house. Art and James were both given polygraphs in June and they both passed. It is quite strange their stories were inconsistent with one another. Especially considering they were both interviewed early on. James spoke with Brubaker the morning of 4/12 and informed him about the truck at that time. Art was interviewed on 4/15 and on 4/16 he came to the sheriff's office to be hypnotized as he felt he had potential information due to the truck he saw/heard. I don't know what James said when he "backed down" his story. Assuming it was a misunderstanding made worse because Kathy's statement to LE didn't match up with Art's. Arts 4/16 interview about the truck can read in Doug Thomas' files. Timeline Entries:PON Entries:
