I find it very interesting Joe Baze was the first person who came to mind when those closest to the victims were initially spoken to by LE. I also believe they had good reason to feel this way. Everyone described him the exact same way - an alcoholic who would become angry & violent when drinking. He checks all the boxes in my mind, anger towards Sue, familiarity with J&D, familiarity with Tina, to the point she was hopeful he would marry Sue & become her father figure, accusations of inappropriate behavior towards other young girls around him. Sue told Sheila to stay away from him. His death, at a young age, from unknown causes one year following the murders. Which would have helped him fly under the radar. There's some conflicting details regarding his trip to Susansville when compared to Richard & John's recollection of that day. Aunt Nancy said she saw him at the market on Sunday. Did anyone besides his girlfriend Helen & other family member confirm his alibi? We all know girlfriends and family members will back up a loved ones alibi. More information is needed, accounts & exact times from other witnesses. And an overlooked important detail, Joe's print was determined to be the closest match to the unidentified print found in cabin 28.

Remind me, where was the partial print found?
This is important information. Baze should still be on the suspect list due to the print comparison. I had not seen the Sypnicki (teletype?) document before. Thanks for posting that.
