So I had posted this on the Keddie truth site before this one. I found that I had saved it , so I am dropping it here as well. This just goes to show how far a desperate man will go to make up a tantalizing story about this case….here’s the original post from me:
So a little birdie dropped me a line the other day, and told me to look at “his” Fb page. He finally dropped the Vegas connection name. It’s who I thought it would be. I didn’t want to assume or say anything until I had confirmation with the name.
So here we go again…..
He is trying so desperately to connect Bo to the Chicago outfit, and just can’t. Even in Vegas. He assumes Bo knew one of the most infamous people within the Chicago outfit, who was in charge of Vegas during the 70’s and 80’s. Who you may ask? Tony Spilotro. Yes, the movie Casino was based on his and his crews time in Vegas. Yes, many of the things that happen in the movie are true. Yes, Tony and his brother were found dead in a cornfield outside of Chicago in 1986. The movie was actually based off a book that Frank Cullota helped with called Casino: Love and Honor in Las Vegas, written by Nicholas Pileggi. Which was turned into the movie we all know as Casino. Frank Cullota also co-wrote several other books on his life within the Chicago Outfit and his very long time friend Tony Spilotro.
Frank Cullota had known Tony since they were around 12 years old. They committed numerous crimes together, and Frank was very very heavily involved in the Vegas mafia during Tony’s time there. The crew was referred to as “The hole in the wall gang.” They robbed mostly jewelry stores and homes. They were caught on July 4th, 1981 by the FBI as they cut through the wall of Bertha’s Gifts & Home Furnishings. An inside informer had tipped off police when the crime was going to occur. Majority of the gang was caught. In 1982 the FBI went to Cullota who was in jail and had him listen to wiretaps of Tony putting a hit on him, and he flipped. He was given full immunity as long as he gave up every crime and name everyone he committed crimes with throughout his life. Including Tony and many others. His immunity deal would be null and void if he had left any crimes or names out. He confessed to over 300 crimes which included murder, bank robberies, and burglaries. No mention of Bo or any known aliases in his confession. Frank spent 2 years in prison and during that time testified against many people. He was released to WitSec in 1984, spent two year under an assumed name and then left the program. Since then he’s written books, done tons of interviews, and even had a YouTube channel called “Coffee with Cullota” until his death in 2020. I have seen many of these interviews and he’s never once mentioned Bo involved in any crime connected to Tony or anyone in the Chicago Outfit. I have read some of the transcripts from Cullota and there’s never been any mention of Bo in those either.
So the FB posts of him trying to connect Bo with one of the most infamous mafia men in Vegas in my opinion is just all show. Almost like he’s trying to lure people in with names. Sounds all sparkly and good until you dig deeper into the real story behind the names he just throws out there all Willy Nilly. Which is what’s he’s done to pretty much every person he’s “connected” to this crime. No evidence to back it up and will throw anyone under the bus if it suits him. This theory is a very very bad one. Tony S has been researched so thoroughly by media, by historians, crime/mafia buffs…that if there was a connection it would of been found years ago especially after the Casino movie and book.
Just sayin….
