Making the Evidence Fit the Theory: Light Bulb Edition
Let's take a look at how the light bulb claim evolved. It is important to remember there has never been a single report posted to corroborate this claim. Not one report showing the porch light bulb was found unscrewed. Just as there is no report stating Wright screwed the porch light back in, that is just ridiculous. And #3, no report has been released confirming Wright's prints were found on the porch light bulb.
Recently a report was posted which states it was in fact the yardarm light bulb that was found unscrewed. [ADD LINK]
Until something is released proving otherwise, this sounds the most accurate. Witnesses told investigators the street in front of 28 was dark, that there is a light somewhere in that area which was usually on and cast a lot of light. Early photographs taken the morning of 4/12/81 show the porch light is on. We don't know whether or not the yardarm light was on/working when investigators arrived because the photos do not capture it. There are photos from later in the day which show the yardarm light and it does not appear illuminated. There have not been any reports released stating when the yardarm light was collected. The porch light bulb was collected on 4/29/81, an hour after Phillip confessed while in jail.
And #4, there is nothing from PCSO confirming both lights were controlled from a single switch inside 28. Just Jan A's belief that was likely the case. It very well may be true, but regardless even if we could see a photo that included both lights it wouldn't matter. If the porch light can be seen off and the yardarm light off, it would only corroborate the likelihood that the yardarm bulb was the one unscrewed, just like the report says.
This collection of posts show the evolution of the porch light bulb. It is like so many "facts" of this case. It's another example of keddie28 making the evidence fit the theory. Every single known belief of this case can be traced back the same way. [Notations in blue added by me]

24 July-- Most police files I've read have glaring disrespect for our mother tongue, written with flourished attempts at clinical language by former jocks who couldn't muster being a hospital janitor much less a doctor. These mutts try to sound intelligent, yet waste 9/10ths of the page on Pig-Latin meant to make them seem mountains of intellect, as their wholesale dismissal of accounting facts of the case proves the opposite.
Don Stoy rushed back to 28 on 4/29 to seize the light bulb from the front porch of 28. Why?
Reports do conclusively explain the area around 28 was extremely dark that night, that lights normally left on at 28 were off. Everyone told PCSO & DOJ doors were always unlocked at 28, and lights outside were always on. But not that night.
CS images show cops turned on many lights inside and outside 28, and the only switch inside the front door operated the outdoor light, and perhaps an indoor power outlet (uncorroborated).
[Uncorroborated - like everything else from him. Yet since this post, his one switch for porch light & yardarm light speculation is constantly posted as fact. And I suppose cops turning inside lights on is what made him decide Wright screwed the porch bulb back in. Let's see one single exterior photo from that morning showing the porch light was off. (Still wouldn't mean the bulb was unscrewed). Every photo I've seen shows the porch light as being on. Post a photo showing both lights.]
Crime scene and historical images show a long, triangular, 2x4 arm hanging out towards the street from the massive pine at the gate of the fence of 28. Same tree Johnny, presumably, tacked on the "Sharps" sign he, presumably, did as a class project. I always wondered what that long arm was, even stared at it while in Keddie in 2011. It's gone now.
It was a light fixture! It held a lamp, sticking out close to the street, to guide the way for RR workers going to and fro the Depot. And it was wired to 28, apparently, to the front door light switch.
Hence that light was always on at night.
NO! Those LIGHTS, as it includes the front door light, were both off that one odd night of a quad murder. HMMM.
So why was it off the night of the murders? I suggest Don Stoy recoverved the lamp because PCSO knew the lights were SUPPOSED to be on.
I deduce someone in-the-know that someting bad was going down Sat night unscrewed the bulb outside 28's front door, turned off the drop-light on the back porch, and turned off the switch just inside the front door of 28 to kill the light on the tree overhang. Thus making 28 and surrounding area completely dark, particularly once Sue turned off the tv and light and went to bed.
Recall, the phone at 28 was taken OFF THE HOOK, and the phone cord cut at the wall by Tina's side of the bed. Once Upon a Time in the West: NEVER TRUST A MAN WHO WEARS SUSPENDERS AND A BELT. Why do two things at once to achieve the same outcome?
[Did the phone cord definitely come in through the girls room back wall?? It looks like it came through the side of 28 which faces cabin 13]
Because whomever unscrewed the lamp outside 28, then turned off the light switch to the overhang bulb, knew that if Sue noticed and flipped the switch, the street light would come on but 28 would remain dark and distant.
There were fingerprints found on the bulb, and they were tested. And one hit:
SHEILA SHARP.
Begs the question, how long can a fingerprint remain on a presumably hot bulb that was clearly on (screwed back in so it would work) when cops worked 28 on Sunday?
[A fingerprint can stay on a light bulb for years. See "The Effect of Time and Temperature on the Persistence and Quality of Latent Fingerprints Recovered from 60-watt Incandescent Light Bulbs" study, saved here: drive.google.com/drive/folders/1yhQ5GaQyaILe4_sXsYtgH32fTMMrz2Mm
Why is there no mention of ANY cop re-screwing the most important light bulb in the case on 4-12?Well, Don Stoy went to Keddie to 'sieze' that bulb, so there is no doubt LIGHTS OUT.
[Because that is stupid & didn't happen, it's something made up. If that bulb was unscrewed it would have been documented & collected that morning!!]
[...]
July 29 Perhaps she was supposed to be there and chickened out, getting in with the Seabolts. Either way, evidence indicates she followed through with making 28 very dark from the outside, far easier for the killers to enter without being seen: She unscrewed the outside bulb.
Fingerprints don't lie, and they can hang you.

Aug 2-- The police field reports are filled with blatant lies, misinformation, and lack of common-sense answers: Why is there no mention they found the front door bulb unscrewed? What lights were on when police entered? [The light in the girls bedroom closet according to Jamie Why no mention the back door was ajar? They took about photos detailing the downed clothesline, but not one mention of it in a single report?! AND NOT A SINGLE SHOT INSIDE THE BASEMENT?! [Maybe because there was nothing of evidentiary value in the basement. We know investigators were down there because Crim & Bradley say so in their 4/13/81 interview with Rick.]Aug 6-- So here's where the chips have newly fallen in the past couple days:
The murder of Sue was planned long in advance, long enough that the Meeks recruited Sheila, and the date was arranged in order for Sheila to make 28 dark from the outside, unscrew the front porch bulb, and make her escape to 27.

In a printout of collected evidence (over 130 items), Item 113 is "light bulb front porch latents" No mention that Sheila's print was on it?! What's the friggin' point of the report, then?! A full copy of Stoy's field report repeats, "113 light bulb taken from front porch outside house (porch light)4-29-81 by Don Stoy" 2 prints lifted: One, Bill Elliott's, who screwed it back in Sunday morn; the other, Sheila Sharp's, who unscrewed it Sunday night so the other killers could take out her family.
[That printout has never been published. Is the yardarm light bulb on there?]
Sheila Had Her Family Slaughtered: The Light Bulb

Below are a couple pieces from Doug Thomas' personal case files, recently emailed to me. Keep in mind, he took these notes years after quitting PCSO: One of his snippets comes from Crim's files, the other from Don Stoys. Neither were there, in the OFFICIAL FILES, when I read through both sets a few weeks back, so nearly every reference to Don rushing back to 'seize the bulb', and only Sheila's prints being on it, have apparently been made to disappear. Also, seeing as it's one of the most incriminating finds in the history of the case, why did PCSO do exactly nothing to confront Sheila in what clearly makes her a co-conspirator directly involved in the murders of her own family?
[Gee, I don't know since files are cherry picked when being released. Since it appears it was Phillips confession that led Stoy to collect the bulb, then there should be more info about it in Phillips confession, immunity interview with his public defender and when the fingerprint analysis was received. None of these are being released though. It'd be easier to just go ahead and Phillip to an active participant in the grand murder scheme. Why hasn't that happened yet? It'd be easier than pretending the Phillip files don't exist. Actually, he already decided 10+ years ago that Phillip was a drunk, crazy liar only looking to insert himself into the investigation. Can't go back and change that now I suppose, after shooting down all Phillip talk over the past decade.
Anyways, PCSO probably didn't approach Sheila because they weren't suspicious of her and had no reason to be suspicious of her. Even after finding her fingerprint on a light bulb in the house she lived in. And possibly because the front porch light was never fn unscrewed, since no reports have been produced to back up this claim. They were obviously interested in outsider prints and Sheila was not an outsider. What about the other print that was too smeared for comparison though? The one that is trying to be passed off as Wrights? What's the true story with that print? Ever ID'd or too smeared even as fingerprint technology advanced?
Fantastic scan of the front of 28, which shows John's sign and the big lamp sticking out over the roadway. In this photo, both the road and porch light are out, so I suspect it's before the joke: How many PCSO does it take to screw in a light bulb and not note how odd it was to be unscrewed on the night of a quad?!
bulbs.jpg
As for how the bulb was 'discovered', here's what I believe went down: As LE poured into 28, it's obvious they would flip the first light switch they see: right inside the front door. But that switch only worked the front porch bulb and the yardarm bulb lighting Keddie Resort Rd. As they kept coming in from the bright outdoors, new arrivals would instinctively flip the switch by the front door. Eventually, Steve Wright checked the bulb and screwed it back in. Later photos by Stoy show the front porch light on. [Early crime scene photos show the light being on. What's this "later photos" stuff? Gotta make the false claims about the porch light sound good? I've never seen a photo with the porch light off. He knows that light was always on, he has all the photos in chronological order. If he has a photo to back up his claim he would have been posted it.
Yet there's no mention of the light being screwed back in by Wright from Wright or anyone else in-the-know. FFS, that's a major 'clue' and any fucktard pig knows that. So why was it never reported? Even Don Stoy didn't make a report about "rushing to Keddie to seize the bulb", it only shows up as a tiny blurb in one lengthy (14 pages?) and otherwise boring 'progress report', then appears again in Doug Thomas' personal notes (not official records, but his personal work and worries) in a list of glaring truths and mistakes in their coverup over which he anguished.

I just found this in a long, disjointed report by Don Stoy. It's from page three of four in one of several in a flurry of reports he filed together, and this report is all over the map. It goes from 4-29 to 4-28 to 4-16, back to the 29th, 30th, then grounds out on the 29th.
This is only one of two PCSO reports about Don 'seizing' the front porch bulb and finding Sheila's and Steve Wright's prints on it. In only the other report is it mentioned who the prints belonged to. The third instance, also listing the print as MURDERER SHEILA's, is from the collection of incriminating notes from criminal pig Doug Thomas' personal collection.

Friday, 30 Apr 2021. It's been a long time since I've done a diary-style entry, but today I'm going to plow into some of the Don Stoy files I've read and reorganized. I opened one more to read it before I started, and it's dated 810512. It's mostly about the activities of Dana Green on 4-11, but the final paragraph is an update from Spiro Vasos, detailing the print on the front porch bulb belongs to Sheila. So, that's the fourth document concerning the bulb (seized 4-29, prints ID'd by 5-12), and not one whisper that they ever confronted Sheila about her being one of the murderers of her own family. The document doesn't mention what we all know: Sheila unscrewed the bulb on the evening of 4-11, Steve Wright (idiot!) screwed it back in the morning of 4-12. Other documents state this, so why did Dumb Donald drop this mindblowing fact from his report?

What “other reports state this”?? Stop lying and spreading misinformation. There is no report stating Wright screwed the porch light bulb back in. Completely made up nonsense. Just like complete hurtful BS that Sheila unscrewed the porch light because she wanted her family dead. How's this claim holding up considering there's nothing verifying the porch light was unscrewed? He saw her fingerprint was found on the porch light bulb and the rest was made up to fit that evidence and his desire to drag her in as a co-conspirator.
If such reports exist confirming the porch light was found unscrewed and Wright screwed it back in then he would have posted them. That's how you know when he's being deceitful. Anytime he repeatedly claims something exists, something that ties into his theory, yet never posts it? Then it doesn't exist. But if he writes enough then he can convince people it's true. Gross. Well, I'll pick up where I left off, which was covering a lot of the same ground as my last post from March. The next document is from 4-29-81, a 4-pager I've mysteriously titled, 'DS SEIZE THE BULB'. This was filed at 3pm. He starts off by iterating sending DT and Wright prints to Vasos, plus adds he sent Phil Shearer's CII to Sam Lister, the disgraced pig, to forward to Vasos for same. Why the F would he send ANYTHING to Lister if he wants to get it to Vasos?! (and, btw, I never found any dirt on Vasos. He was apparently one of the very top in his field and was pivotal in several high-profile cases)

[4/29/81 @ 2pm, Phillip is confessing to his mom while in jail. Same day, an hour later @ 3pm Stoy is collecting the porch light bulb & sending it off for fingerprint analysis along with Phillip's prints. What a coincidence![/font]

…..
Then the biggie: I went to the Sharp residence and seized the outside front porch light bulb to examine it for fingerprints. I also seized a pair of scissors from the window sill in the living room." There were three windows in the LR, so which one, you fucking stupid, worthless cunt? "I dusted both and found two prints on the bulb." Vasos ID'd one as Tina's [Sheila] , one as Wright's. Again, Sheila unscrewed it 4-11 pm, dipshit Steve screwed it back in 4-12 AM, and it took that fucking moron 17 days to figure out the importance of the bulb being UNSCREWED at a murder location that was renowned for being VERY WELL LIT.
[....Or the fact it took 17 days to collect the light bulb could tell us there wasn't any importance to it? It wasn't found unscrewed and therefore it wasn't collected into evidence on 4/12/81.
It is quite interesting on 4/29/81 Phillip told his mother, “they told me to hand the scissors and I did”. And of all things, Stoy finds a pair of scissors on the windowsill inside 28's living room. Allegedly it was the window next to the couch. Lots going on in that area, the TV, the wall with knife marks. Johnny has a wound speculated to have been caused by a pair of scissors. The pieces of Sue's cut hair, which were neatly cut as if with scissors. In 7Scarlett's post regarding Phillips statements in later years, he said the perpetrators had been looking/waiting for Johnny & Dana to return home. They had been at 28 earlier in the night and unscrewed an outside light bulb. His story also included a van. Around 9pm, the Seabolt girls see a van parked in front of 28. If it was in fact the yardarm bulb that was unscrewed, is what the van was doing there at 9pm?[/font]

Same 5/8 cover file, Stoy calls Vasos with Green's police number to pull his prints. Vasos called back later to say none of the prints at 28 match Gree, but one print on the bulb is Sheila's and the other one's not readable (turns out to be Wright's).

A couple more instances of where Sheila's prints on the bulb are mentioned, yet NOBODY ever asked her why her prints were on a bulb that was intentionally unscrewed, and the switch controlling both that porch lamp and the street lamp was turned off, on the very night of the murders.

This is the only time I've seen LE specifically mention the yardarm light... no mention that it was hard-wired to the front porch bulb Sheila unscrewed, no mention why they're asking HIM (the very guy for whom they're trying to provide his alibi!!!) when they apparently never asked the actual killer, SHEILA!

[So, PCSO were interested in the yardarm? Could that lead us to believe it was the yardarm light that was unscrewed??][/i]

Could the prints of Shelia come from her installing the bulb instead of unscrewing it? There should of been two sets of prints unless she was the only one who touched it.

[Thank you Oregon Terry!! Nice to see someone not afraid to post a question on that forum! And a question that doesn't align with what you-know-who says. Wonder if Terry got the ban for asking this valid question?]

Finger prints are oils and they likely burn off especially when they left it on overnight. I can't find anything else on my above guess. I found all kinds of lights to detect prints and lights to destroy prints....but no stuff on how long b4 they burn off the oils. However sustained heat on oil......seems like science to me.
To be aware is to be alive.

No, they don't burn off. See the science in the scientific fingerprint study.

the bulb was announced on the site is the friend of a member, a retired scientist, postulated how long it could take for the prints to burn off. And, yes, there is scant info on the web. The speed at which they would burn off would be controlled by many factors, such as the bulb surface, bulb thickness, composition of glass, wattage, etc.
There were two sets of prints found on the bulb: Sheila's, from when she unscrewed it Saturday night (apparently only her thumb print was identifiable), and those of the jackass twat who screwed it back in Sunday without realizing how important it was: Steve Wright. The prints of whomever installed the bulb had already burned off.

[And this is absolutely hilarious. What he really means is he sent Meankitty over to our forum to do his dirty work. Pretending like she was interested in the Fingerprint & Light Bulb research study we have. He should have just asked himself. Lol. I was more than happy to give it to him, I mean to MK, because it disproves the claim that fingerprint could have only been left that night because the print would have burned off otherwise. He gots all kinda friends emailing him, huh? Retired scientists, retired medical examiners, Lol. Still claiming prints burn off though.]

I was renaming several of Gam's files today when I stumbled across one I keep meaning to post. I just ate dinner and it's time to watch a movie, so I'll find it and post it manana. It's from 80s where they're trying to tie the murders onto another guy. In the document, they're listing the similarities in the modus operendi of this possible suspect with the MO of the Keddie killers.
Prominently listed is the offender was known to unscrew the front porch lightbulb.
So, FUCK ALL YOU NAYSAYERS! Even LE accidentally admitted they knew Sheila was involved in a key act of the setup for a clearly premeditated, multi-party, orchestrated home-invasion mass murder.

Nah, Fuck you. That report doesn't mean what you portray it to mean. And it says “a light bulb outside was unscrewed”. Nothing about a porch light, just an outside light.
I have verification the lightbulb outside the front door was unscrewed (see photo)! This means I can unequivocally state that:

[His verification is the above report about Wilkins. Which is NOT verification. Its a report discussing similarities between Wilkins crimes and Keddie "3.) A light bulb outside was unscrewed". Similarities - 28 was made dark, that is the similarity. And we now have a report stating the yardarm bulb was unscrewed…. “A light bulb outside was unscrewed”]

Took me a while to find it, because I kept getting sidetracked... Here's the bit from Doug's private files, where he's trying to tie the Keddie case onto a serial rapist in Plumas County. Charles Edwin Wilkins had been busted for rape and burglary a few times, and was up on the same charges again in 84. Somehow, Crim had made note of the similarities (the Crim note is not found in his known files) between Wilkins' cases and the Keddie murders.
That both Crim and Thomas point out the front porch bulb was unscrewed in Keddieas part of the MO is huge, of course, because the prints on the bulb proves it was Sheila, and that she was in on the conspiracy. Although while the prints being Sheila's appears in several files, it's not found in files by Crimely, but Crim's clearly aware enough of the situation (that 28 was intentionally darkened for the murders) that he lists it as part of the Keddie murders MO. Of course, there's only a 99.9999999% likelihood Crim also knew the prints were Sheila's, but a 100% positive that DT knew, because the prints being Sheila's appears on his list of main worries about the crappy coverup he started.
So, LE KNEW THE UNSCREWED BULB AND DARKENING OF 28 WAS MODUS OPERENDI, AND KNEW SHEILA UNSCREWED THE BULB. AND DID NOTHING BUT BURY IT.
Looking at the rest of DT's words: Ron Pedrini is a suspect, so DT goes over some of his oddities... but, as I've already posted in the Pedrini Collection, nowhere near as many red flags as I've uncovered.

"Wilkins ties Vx with whatever is available (?)" The question mark to me can mean only one thing: PCSO and DOJ knew the killers brought the tape with them, so it's marked 'questionable' because it's not a similarity.
Then he mentions one Vx nightgown was lifted up the legs so Wilkins covered the Vx with a blanket. So was this a murder, or was the Vx unable to move because she was restrained? Any, the important point is DT asks if Justin's the one that pulled up Sue's nightgown. This means LE knew early on Justin covered Sue, but there's no indication this idiot saw the Bigger Picture: That it took TWO BOYS to move Sue, then cover her. Moreso, that the staging (hiking up of Sue's gown and staging her with her legs spread) was done by the killers, UNDONE by the boys. Instead, this jagoff jackass tries to attribute all of it to Justin.

[Well busted in a lie here. Now we can see exactly why he didn't post the Crim report when he made this post. Because he prefers to twist the truth. This is a perfect example, he knowingly claims Crims report states the front porch light was unscrewed. It most certainly does NOT. He is referencing the report he recently posted to Facebook which in fact states it was the yardarm light bulb which was unscrewed. Its obviously the same report because it contains the same info about Pedrini. Lie some more. You're only fucking with people's lives and preventing justice from being served to those really responsible. I bet the real killers love you.]

#3 A light bulb on the outside of one of WILKINS’ victims’ residence was unscrewed by WILKINS. An outside light on the street next to the front gate of the SHARPS residence was unscrewed.

7S knew Marty and Bo is who Phil was trying to finger, and that Marty and Bo (and Loon) all spoke of how dark it was by 28; Marty told Crimely "there's normally a couple lights on back there." A few other residents mentioned 28 was darker than usual, that the front porch light was normally on. So 7S correctly speculated the bulb had been unscrewed, but by Marty/Bo. The rest of 7S's post conforms again to Phillip's BS.
I'm not sure how closely 7S's acct lines up w/ Phillip's story, because I don't give a damn about that dead-drunk, worthless corpse. Like so many other waste-of-space psychos (Donna Williams, Walke/Thompson, Spang, Dee, Mike, Meeks, MMB, etc), his BS was meant to divert [...]

-The killers unscrewed the light bulb in the front earlier in the night. Were there and left and went specifically looking for Johnny & Dana because they knew they were coming, while two people stayed behind and waited.
This line of drivel is immediately laughable: The killers unscrewed the bulb (how does the light on the yardarm over the street go dark? Funny it's not mentioned in this pile of shit, until one realizes it wasn't til last year I exposed not just its existence but that it was hard-wired to the front porch light switch of 28). Two killers stay behind... while the other two went looking for J&D "because they knew they were coming"?! Does anybody realize how stupid that sounds? That's because it IS stupid.

What's funny is he was talking about unscrewed light bulbs and pellet guns YEARS before anyone outside of law enforcement was aware of those things.
