Altering reports is a real dick move. Especially considering it's done to obfuscate the facts of the case. Anything that doesn't support the theory is intentionally omitted. If so confident in the theory why hide anything? The reports and evidence should speak for themselves.
PCSO didn't ignore Marty's therapist "confession" as Keddie 28 and Mike Gamberg claim. Doug Thomas immediately began investigating it as soon as Dr. Cheeseman phoned in the tip, as seen by the series of events above. He did all this even while waiting to speak directly with the source (therapist). He didn't sit around and wait til the therapist returned from vacation, PCSO acted on the information. It came to end on 5-18-81 when they were finally able to speak with the therapist - he denied Marty confessed and informed PCSO the information had come from Marilyn via a phone call. But this interview with the therapist has purposely been omitted.
The confession being hearsay from Marilyn matches the 1981 reports. It also matches the therapists 1981 office notes on Marty - which have also never been released but were recovered by Gamberg during his investigation. The records contained zero mention of any confession by Marty. They show Marilyn was in fact present for several sessions in the beginning and later decided to no longer participate. This disputes the therapists later claims of having never met Marilyn and therefore impossible for the confession to have been hearsay from Marilyn (this statement is via several posts from Keddie 28 and not a direct quote from therapist himself. So…).
Based on the above and known timeline of Marty's therapy sessions the most likely scenario imo is:
The "confession" did come from a phone call with Marilyn just as the 1981 PCSO interview with the Therapist states. It was probably the homicides which caused Marilyn to stop partaking in the sessions. The therapist, Marty and Dee all said Marty began therapy to save his marriage. Marilyn left Marty shortly after the homicides. Around this time a phone call occurred between the therapist & Marilyn. Perhaps Marilyn called him to explain why she stopped coming. Or the therapist called her to ask why. The therapist's office notes will likely answer these questions, at least confirm dates.
*If* Marty truly spoke of an "extreme bitch" interfering with his marriage, as the therapist described in the documentary, then this "extreme bitch" was Nina Meeks. Therapist said that statement occurred after the homicides and Marty spoke in present tense. Nina was the one "interfering in his marriage" at that time since she had moved Marilyn & the kids in with her. *If* there's any accuracies in the therapist's documentary interview, the statement that interests me most is Marty allegedly claiming his friends would be the ones responsible if something bad happened.
An accurate account of what truly happened regarding the therapist "confession" can be determined through his 1981 office notes. At the very least at least an accurate timeline of appointment dates & what was discussed, when Marilyn stopped participating, etc. But these are not being released nor are any of the therapist interviews which occurred after his documentary appearance. The therapist confession is the smoking gun to the "Marty & Bo did it" theory. It's very telling that these have not been released. It points to the information not matching the claims. Dmac himself has said there are contradictions in the Therapists multiple interviews. I have seen many contradictions myself in the telling of this story - whether through therapists own words, Keddie 28 posts & Gamberg's media statements regarding the confession. It has not been consistent. It's been proven the therapist did not document a confession. This contradicts the therapist's own words. The explanation for this contradicts prior statements by the therapist.
I feel bad knocking the therapist and disputing his claims. I don't want people to think I'm calling him a straight up liar. But the truth is there are many inconsistencies in the story and all 1981 reports contradict his documentary interview. I don't believe he purposely lied, but somewhere along the lines memories and his stories became muddied. His documentary interview led to police interviews, probably unexpectedly….
Speaking of that it's also worth noting, after his documentary interview and prior to Joshua Seabold's article, "Was Keddie Solved?", the therapist was interviewed by PCSO. Officers Elliot & DeCrona interviewed him. Yet this interview is not referenced at all in Joshua's article. Instead PCSO focused on the 1981 interview with the therapist. That leads me to believe they also saw inconsistencies with what the therapist now had to say, they knew the 81 reports contradicted his current version of events.
Then along came Gamberg… pushing Keddie 28s internet forum speculation of the therapist confession & any 1981 reports regarding it being falsified by prior corrupt PCSO & DOJ members.
Gamberg also interviewed the therapist several times. The Elliot/DeCrona, nor the Gamberg interviews have been released. Their contents only briefly mentioned but enough to notice the many contractions. The validity of the claim even questioned by he who spouts the confession as the foundation of his entire theory. Everyone should question why every single actual report or records regarding the therapist & confession has not been released. That speaks volumes imo. The Truth is, only reports that slightly fit the theory are released. Anything that doesn't is held back. The fact the therapist reports have never been released (& even removed like the 5-18-81 interview with him) shows me which category those interviews fall in.
It's just not right. It does absolutely nothing to help the case by purposely omitting information. It does the opposite and actually hurts the case. It pushes a false narrative to the public. Why? To promote a theory? To stroke someone's ego? Make people believe he solved the case? It's wrong. Whatever the reason. These families deserve justice. That's not going to happen when information is selectively published, often times twisted to a fit a theory and any other leads are ignored because those with the power have tunnel vision.
Thank God, PCSO has the reports pertaining to this case (minus whatever Gamberg took with him when he left PCSO 🙄, let's hope he left copies there). I pray one day the case is reopened. Because if I'm being completely honest, I have zero faith in anything that occurred during Gamberg's investigation. From every Gamberg era report, media appearance, newspaper quote & Keddie 28 post, it tells me he spent 2013-2019 chasing down leads provided to him by Keddie 28. With a bad case of confirmation bias and that is beyond disappointing. I feel for the Sharps, Wingates, and all those accused based on one person's opinion and speculation. This case needs a fresh start. I have faith in the current PCSO regime and pray this happens.
